Executive Team

Dr. Andries Sebastian has previous experience in academic and non-tobacco industrial research in a wide variety of scientific fields prior to his involvement in the tobacco industry. During the 12 years he spent with RJRT and BAT he enabled the companies to amass 713 US and foreign patents for his work on combustible, Heat-Not-Burn, and E-Cigarettes, Oral Tobacco products, Biodegradability, and various other adjacent technologies, such as Packaging, digital printing, Power Sources, and Point-of-Sale Technologies such as Smart Retail Shelf. After retiring from RJRT in 2019 he founded IP Concepts, LLC., a self-funded start-up company in Georgia, USA.

Milestones

Our journey with the new technology began back in 2020 with the first patents filed in China and the US. Following a successful track record at RJRT and BAT, Andries continued his inventive streak with his startup company, IP Concepts LLC, and invented the new Heat-not-Burn technology. He first secured the Chinese Utility Model Patent and later obtained two US patents during the period 2020-2021.

During 2021-2023, Andries collaborated with Wingle Group on proof of concept, lab-scale prototype development, and testing of the Heat-not-Burn technology. This collaboration resulted in extending the technology to the E-cigarette field. Hence, the new Biodegradable Heat-not-Burn and E-Cigarette technology was born. In 2023, we filed new US and PCT patent applications covering this New to the World Technology.
